I must let it be known that I did do my best to find a loophole. Unfortunately all the words connected to beau were just as gender specific. Though I might start using dandy instead of beau because it sounds more playful. I will have to think of something for our female acquaintances that is equally as fun.

I'll be heading out for work as soon as this gets posted. Lately my job has required some long hours. Friday mornings are a consistent early start, but staying to seven on a Thursday night that I promised my girlfriend, The One, that I would take her to Chili's is not. Thankfully we still made it to Chili's, more on this later. The late hours do not bother me all that much as I do have a purpose to stay, it can just get a bit exhausting when I only get a few hours break from work.
I am new to this position and there is a lot to learn. I am hoping that one of my learning experiences is not that I will always be staying late, rather I learn that this is just a busy time for work. There are a lot of separate projects going on right now so I do think that it is just a 'for the moment' type deal. All in all it a part of my job and I will have to be flexible enough to deal with it.

Chili's is not my favorite place to eat but it is passable for a meal out. I much prefer it to Applebee's, which I have not been fond of for a while. While essentially they are the same, Chili's provides you with a more substantial load of food for the price than Applebee's does. I paid $13 for the triple appetizer and only by plate presentation did it match up in size. Even the meals are small for what you pay, at least in comparison.
Last night's trip was a treat for The One and I. We enjoy the thrift 2 for $20 meals they offer. Well this particular meal came with a little extra stand of hair on The One's dish. We pointed it out to the waiter, who took it to the manager. The One was given the option to pick out another course and 2 for $20 became 2 for $10. While it was unfortunate for her to have a hair in her first meal it was nice to get a big discount. I had ordered one of their many expensive fancy drinks that cost around $10; I don't remember the name, just that it was the color green. We ended up clocking in at under $20 for the meal and drink. That is something I can live with. Especially seeing as we took home the extra meal as our stomachs were already please, and now lunch is provided for today.
And then it ends,
